This place was amazing. The pictures are great but absolutely don’t do it justice. The place was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location couldn’t be better, so close to all of the beautiful birding and nature one could want to see. I feel very lucky to have stayed at this Airbnb, it was the best out of the 4 different places I stayed during my trip across Arizona. Hope to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at these lovely dog-friendly accommodations at a location very close to both Porttal, AZ, and Rodeo, NM. The entrance was easy to find, and the area directly around the two rental units (and the host) was fenced with a gate, which made it more fun got
for our dog (after we checked for snakes). The shotgun-style unit was consistently cool in the hot summer and had all the amenities we could need. The Portal Store/Restaurant and the Sky Island Store/Restaurant were within a few minutes drive, and Rodeo as well as the beautiful forests of Portal were not far past that. the host was extremely responsive and had a local property manager available to help with any hiccups (but we didn't have any). We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to this lovely area of the world.

We had a very comfortable stay. Saw more birds than in the canyon! The apartment is exceptionally tidy and pleasant. The kitchen is very tight with little counter space, but functional. The gas BBQ worked well. TV channels are very basic.
Note that there is an adjoining identical unit (not occupied while we were there). It is not clear whether you might have to share the patio with others - if you care, check with the host. Also, the owners live on the same lot nearby.
Very easy and quick access to Cave Creek and town.
